Case summary

Resident of Novorossiysk. On 2 December 2021, he was detained in Ramenskoye near Moscow together with other participants of the conference of Protestant churches "New Generation", an organisation recognised as "undesirable" on the territory of the Russian Federation. On 10 March 2022, Gerasimenko was fined five thousand rubles under an administrative article on cooperation with an "undesirable organisation". Later, a criminal case was opened against him for participation in the activities of an "undesirable organisation": according to the investigation, he posted on his VKontakte page and on his YouTube channel materials of the New Generation Association of Churches. On 5 May 2023, Gerasimenko was sentenced to a two-year suspended sentence.
