Case summary
A journalist of the publication Idel.Realii. In 2021, he was included in the registry of media outlets designated as “foreign agents”. He was chargedwith publicly justifying terrorism over a video concerning the attack on Russian ambassador Sergei Andreev in Warsaw.
On 17 August 2022, searches were conducted at the homes of several journalists in Kazan working for Idel.Realii in connection with the case. Further searches took place on 9 September, 10 October, and 1 December. On 18 November 2022, Grigoriev was arrested in absentia and declared wanted in relation to this case.
