According to the investigation, in April 2023, he voluntarily joined the Ukrainian paramilitary nationalist association, the "Aidar" regiment, which is recognized as a terrorist community in Russia. He underwent training, acquired knowledge and practical skills in handling weapons. After that, he took part in combat operations against the Russian Armed Forces on the territory of the Lansk and Donetsk "people's republics" as a gunner.
