Imam-khatib of the religious organisation Mahalla in Bashkortostan. Detained in 2015 as part of a criminal case on the activities of an extremist organisation in connection with involvement in the activities of the Islamic movement Tablighi Jamaat. Its followers are persecuted solely because of their religious activities. On 30 June 2017, he was sentenced to two years and five months in a colony-settlement.
