Case summary
Engineer, father of three young children. According to the investigation, he made the inscriptions "No to War!" and "Putin is a fascist!" on the memorial "The mass grave of Soviet Army soldiers who died in the defence of Leningrad in 1941-1943" and the stele "Historical routes of the Peterhof and Narva roads". He also reportedly painted the stele "Soviet Era" in Polezhaevsky Park. Initially accused of desecrating mass graves, but the defence managed to prove that there were no graves in the places where the inscriptions were drawn. On 28 December 2022, Khodin was sentenced to a 40 thousand roubles fine.
