Case summary
Igor is a resident of Novosibirsk. According to a local news portal, he left for Kazakhstan in 2022 after the mobilisation was announced. The FSB believes that he maintained contact with members of a certain Ukrainian terrorist organisation. He later returned to Russia. In November 2024, he was detained in a case concerning the public justification of terrorism and placed in custody. The case was triggered by a comment he had posted under a news item about the killing of FSB Lieutenant Colonel Sergei Shatoy, whose car came under fire in Bryansk Oblast. The Russian Volunteer Corps claimed responsibility for the attack. Later, Ikryanov was placed under house arrest.
In April 2025, it became known that Igor had also been charged with failure to report a crime. According to investigators, he knew that his acquaintance was the head of one of the units of the Russian Volunteer Corps but did not report this to the FSB.
On 31 July 2025, the court sentenced him to a fine of 360,000 roubles. On 25 November, following an appeal, the court increased the fine to 500,000 roubles.
