Case summary
He worked as an inspector and controller of the aviation security service at Sakhalin airport. In 2003, he was given a suspended sentence ofa year and a half in a case of falsely reporting a terrorist attack. On 18 November 2019, he was detained in Khabarovsk, sent to Moscow and taken into custody the next day in the case of contract killings in 2004 and 2005. According to Andrei Paley, another defendant in the case, they were beaten during detention. On 10 February 2023, Kadyrov was sentenced to nine and a half years in a strict regime colony on charges of attempted murder by an organised group for hire. He was considered to be involved in the preparation of murders organised by Sergei Furgal, the governor of Khabarovsk Krai at the time when the investigation began.
