Case summary
Director of a commercial company from Khabarovsk. On 18 November 2019, he was detained in Khabarovsk and transferred to Moscow and the next day sent to custody in the case of contract killings in 2004 and 2005. He later wrote that he and another detainee in the case, Marat Kadyrov, were beaten during detention. On 10 February 2023, Paley was sentenced to 17 years in a strict regime colony under the article on the murder of two persons committed by a group of people for hire with the purpose of concealing another crime. According to the investigation, he was involved in the murders organised by Sergei Furgal.
