Житель Сыктывкара, активист КПРФ. В 2023 году его приговорили к году условно по делу о призывах к экстремизму в интернете. Содержание публикаций неизвестно, в ФСБ утверждали, что в них было побуждение пользователей «к осуществлению экстремистской деятельности в отношении представителей отдельных наций и сотрудников правоохранительных органов». В январе 2023 года его приговорили к году лишения свободы условно.
В мае 2026 года ФСБ сообщила о задержании Капустина по делу об оправдании терроризма из-за постов о руководстве России. На время следствия его заключили под стражу.
Также против него возбуждено дело об уклонении от призыва (ч. 1 ст. 328 УК).
