Case summary
Resident of Tikhoretsk (Krasnodar region), history teacher, publicist, political scientist. A case of insulting the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland was brought against him because of an article about the Great Patriotic War. Karpenko sent the article eby e-mail in June 2021 to the editorial office of "an online edition of one of the scientific and practical journals", as the press service of the Investigative Committee says, and which then "became available to an indefinite number of people". At the end of December 2024, the case went to court.
