Case summary
A resident of Genicheskiy district, Kherson region of Ukraine. On 3 August 2023, he was detained and later taken into custody on charges of participation in an illegal armed formation. According to the investigation, he participated in the activities of the Noman Chelebidzhikhan Battalion. Human rights activists believe that this formation was no longer functioning when, according to the investaigation, Kestan joined it. On 28 November 2023, he was sentenced to three and a half years in a strict regime colony.
