Case summary

She has collaborated with Nezavisimaya Gazeta, Russia Today, Novaya Gazeta and other publications, and was nominated for the International Women of Courage award in 2010. On 6 May 2024, she was searched and then taken for questioning as part of a case of public justification of terrorism because of her posts about the attack on Nalchik and the Taliban. The next day Kevorkova was taken into custody. On 3 December 2024, the prosecutor's office returned the case to the investigation. Later, the case went to court. On 12 March 2025 Kevorkova was sentenced to a fine of 600 thousand rubles.
