Case summary

Resident of the Tver region. On 23 April 2024, he was detained and then taken into custody on charges of public justification of terrorism because of two comments endorsing the activities of the Freedom of Russia Legion and the Russian Volunteer Corps. It is not clear from the text of the court decision the exact content of Klepov's comments; it mentions the RDK raids in the Bryansk region on 2 March 2023 and in the Belgorod region on 22 May 2023, qualified as terrorist attacks, but it is not explicitly stated that he endorsed these actions, only that he was aware of them. On 1 October 2024, Klepov was sentenced to two years in a general regime colony. He was released in April 2026.
