According to the investigation, in April 2019 he voluntarily joined "the ranks of the Assault Battalion "Aidar" of the AFU, which is a terrorist community. He was trained at the Chernihov district training center on close combat tactics and weapons handling. In the battalion, he performed the duties of a gunner, taking direct part in combat operations on the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic".
