Case summary
A Ukrainian serviceman, a resident of Donetsk region of Ukraine. He was taken prisoner no later than March 2022. A criminal case was initiated against him for participation in the activities of a terrorist community in connection with his alleged involvement in the activities of the “Azov” battalion, where he had served since 2018. In December 2025, the case was referred to court. On 27 January 2026, Kormilin was sentenced to 20 years in a strict regime penal colony.
