Case summary
A theatre professional and a journalist of the state television company of the Jewish Autonomous Region. He was detained presumably on 15 February 2024. He told an acquaintance that the charge against him was a post about mobilization published on Facebook in 2022. The next day Mr. Kornilevsky was placed in custody. Later it became known that the criminal charges were based on a comment about Ruslan Zinin, who had shot a military commander in Ust-Ilimsk. On 8 May 2024, Mr. Kornilevsky was sentenced to 2 years 6 months in prison.
