In March 2023, under a post about Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC) special units in the Belgorod region, he wrote "dudes rock". "the guys are doing great" and "these are not fakes, they are liberating the Belgorod People's Republic" in the Lentach social media community. The next day, under the entry about RVC's attack and shooting of a civilian vehicle he wrote: "These are not special units, they did nothing wrong". In April 2023, he wrote "it's not terrorism" under a post about the death of Vladlen Tatarskii in an explosion in a St Petersburg cafe. He left similar comments under two other posts. In June 2023, he wrote that "RVC actions are all for the purpose of protecting honest people from the Russian threat".

Full summary
A resident of Yekaterinburg, a security guard at a theatre. In May 2024, he was sentenced to a fine of 500,000 rubles on charges of public justification of terrorism because of the inspecified comments left on VKontakte between late 2022 and early 2023. Their content is unknown.
In July 2024, a new case was initiated against him under the same article due to social media posts in which he endorsed the activities of the Russian Volunteer Corps and the murder of military correspondent Vladlen Tatarskii. In February 2025 the case went to court. On 13 February 2026, Kosykh was sentenced to a fine of 300,000 rubles.
