Case summary

A resident of Yekaterinburg, a security guard at a theatre. In May 2024, he was sentenced to a fine of 500,000 rubles on charges of public justification of terrorism because of the inspecified comments left on VKontakte between late 2022 and early 2023. Their content is unknown.

In July 2024, a new case was initiated against him under the same article due to social media posts in which he endorsed the activities of the Russian Volunteer Corps and the murder of military correspondent Vladlen Tatarskii. In February 2025 the case went to court. On 13 February 2026, Kosykh was sentenced to a fine of 300,000 rubles.
