Case summary

Alexander Kotov was detained and questioned in January 2019 on charges of hooliganism due to an action with the installation of an effigy of Putin in a prison uniform with the inscriptions "Liar" and "War criminal Pynya V.V." Kotov claims that he did not participate in the action, but only filmed it on video. At first he was questioned as a witness. On 20 December it became known that Kotov was charged

On 18 August 2020 he was acquitted.
