Case summary
detained in connection with the peaceful protest of Greenpeace activists who sailed in September 2013 on the ship "Arctic Sunrise" to the Prirazlomnaya oil production platform in the Pechora Sea, protesting against the development of oil and gas fields on the Arctic shelf; the ship was forcibly stopped, and everyone on board was detained. Charged with piracy, the charge was later reclassified to hooliganism. She was in custody since September 2013 and was released on bail in November 2013. Amnestied in December 2013
