Investigators allege that, by December 2020 at the latest, he posted on Facebook praising two attacks: Mikhail Zhlobitsky’s 2018 suicide bombing inside the FSB office in Arkhangelsk and Yevgeny Manyurov’s 2019 shooting outside the FSB headquarters in Moscow. The same post, they say, incited hatred and threatened violence against Russian FSB officers, and endorsed terrorism by urging the hanging of President Vladimir Putin. The court later reclassified this final allegation, reducing it from incitement to hatred to advocating extremist activity.

Full summary
A resident of Moscow, Krieger is a member of the Anti-War Action Committee and one of the founders of the Union of Solidarity with Political Prisoners. He has been a long-standing participant in various protest actions.
On 3 November 2022, his home was searched and he was detained. He was charged with public justification of terrorism due to a post concerning the explosion at the Arkhangelsk FSB building and the shooting near the FSB building in Moscow. On 5 November, the court placed him in custody. In December, additional charges of incitement to hatred with threats of violence were brought against him, related to an aggressive post about Chekists and a possible execution of Putin.
On 17 May 2023, Krieger was sentenced to seven years in a general-regime penal colony.
