Case summary

Resident of Moscow. On 17 March 2024, he was detained in a shop, accused of disorderly conduct, and the next day he was arrested for 15 days. On his way out of the special detention centre, on 1 April, he was detained again and drew up a report on the demonstration of extremist symbols because of a comment about the fighting in Moscow in the telegram chat room "Freedom of Russia Movement". Since he was replying to an administrator's post, the reply automatically included an image with the symbols of the Freedom of Russia Legion from the original post. On 16 May 2024, Kulachenkov was detained again, already as part of a criminal case on calls to terrorism, also because of a comment that looked like an appeal to the Legion.
