According to the investigation, she entered into a criminal conspiracy with unidentified persons aimed at grossly violating public order and displaying clear disrespect for society. She arrived at Babushkinsky Park in a lift truck, climbed up a tree trunk, tied herself with a rope and began demanding that construction work be stopped. In response to requests from fire and rescue service personnel, Kuzmina used a crossbow with a telescopic sight, stating that she would defend herself with it if they attempted to remove her from the tree.

An environmental activist who opposed urban redevelopment and the cutting down of trees. The reason for the criminal prosecution was a protest during which Kuzmina climbed a tree with a crossbow that was unfit for shooting. On 17 August 2021 she was placed under house arrest. On 4 August 2023 a court ordered that Kuzmina be sent for compulsory treatment in a psychiatric hospital. Kuzmina has left Russia.
