Case summary
Resident of Dolgoprudnii (Moscow Region). Before his arrest in connection with the criminal case, he was a student at the College of Telecommunications at the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics. In January 2024, he was detained in connection with the arson of a relay cabinet at the Mark railway station in Moscow. On January 26, 2024, he was taken into custody. The case was initially opened under the article on attempting to render the railway lines useless, but the charges were later changed to commiting sabotage. On February 18, 2025, Melnikov was sentenced to seven years in a general regime colony.
