According to the investigation, on 12 December 2024, "at the firing range located near the village of Malaya Lyubasha, Rivne region of Ukraine", he voluntarily took an oath and "joined the 48th separate assault battalion of the Crimean Tatar Volunteer Battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan". Prior to that, according to the prosecution, "from 28.10.2024 to 12.12.2024, in order to carry out terrorist activities, he underwent training on tactical, specialised, shooting, combat, medical, physical and psychological training at the above mentioned training ground, upon completion of which he was provided with uniforms, weapons, ammunition and other ammunition for participation in combat operations as part of the battalion". He participated in combat operations from 12 to 24 December 2024.
