On 1 February 2023, between 9:30 a.m. and 10:10 a.m. Morozov, being at the formation of the personnel of the military unit, without any obstacles and legal grounds, wishing to evade participation in combat operations, declared his refusal to participate in them and failure to comply with the order of the chief. The order in question was the combat order of the commander of the military unit to leave for the territory of the special military operation, communicated to him by the deputy commander of the military unit.

A resident of Sochi, a contract military member, participated in the war in Ukraine. On 1 February 2023, he refused to participate in combat operations. A case was brought against him for failure to follow orders in wartime. On 28 June 2023, Morozov was sentenced to two years and four months in a colony-settlement. Presumably, he was released in December 2025.
