The case was initiated for a comment on YouTube posted in April 2023 under a video of the opposition blogger Michael Naki. The video was posted by the Ukrainian TV channel “24 Kanal” (Channel 24). The comment read, “We are now in the era of the devil, who has taken root right here, in Russia, in Moscow. In my opinion, the mission lies with you, Muscovites: will the Russian people remain, or will irreparable things happen? For a long time, Putin’s puppet has ignored our posters and slogans; radical ACTIONS are needed! A RAID ON THE KREMLIN IS NEEDED, AND THE SPECIAL POLICE FORCES MUST BE OVERTHROWN. EVEN IF IT TAKES CARS AND A HUGE CROWD, NOT WITH POSTERS AND SLOGANS, BUT LIKE IN THE MAIDAN WITH MOLOTOV COCKTAILS, AND WITH EVERYTHING WE HAVE IN OUR HANDS TO DEFEND OURSELVES WITH.” Law enforcement officers noted that “at least two users” of YouTube had seen the comment.
