Case summary

A resident of Karelia and an anarchist. A criminal case against her was initiated in March 2019. It was based on a comment she posted on VKontakte in response to a post about Mikhail Zhlobitsky, who blew himself up in the reception area of the Arkhangelsk regional office of the FSB.

At the trial, the prosecution’s witnesses included four students from the Russian State University of Justice, who gave similar testimony, as well as an officer from Centre “E”. Muranova did not deny writing the comment, but maintained that it did not constitute a justification of terrorism.

In December 2019, the court found her guilty and sentenced her to a fine of 350,000 roubles.
