According to the investigation, he signed a contract with the Azov volunteer association on 24 December 2016, where he served before surrendering. Musafirov's military service was qualified by the prosecution and the court as "participation in a terrorist community". In addition, from 1 January to 31 March 2017, he studied in a training camp in the village of Urzuf on the territory of the self-proclaimed "DNR".

Ukrainian serviceman. He was taken prisoner on 17 May 2022 on the territory of the Azovstal plant in Mariupol. He was charged with participating in the activities of a terrorist organization and undergoing training to carry out terrorist activities.
