Case summary

An officer in the Russian army. In March 2022, he was ordered to go to war. The serviceman refused. When he was summoned to the commander of the army, the commander told the officer that he himself was from Kharkiv. The officer asked the commander: "Where did you see Nazis in Kharkov, Colonel, really?" After this conversation, the officer wrote that he refused to go to the front for health reasons. He expected to be dismissed, but his dismissal was delayed.

In January 2023, the officer was told they wanted to send him to a military commandant's office in a Ukrainian town occupied by Russia. He refused.

In September 2023, it became known that the officer was sentenced to two years and three months in a penal colony.
