Case summary
A resident of the town of Koryazhma in the Arkhangelsk region, a civil activist, travelled to Shies several times to support those who oppose the construction of a landfill there.
In September 2019, he was searched - almost a year after he left a comment in the Koryazhma gossip group on VKontakte, where in a discussion about the self-detonation of 17-year-old Arkhangelsk resident Mikhail Zhlobitsky in the FSB (Federal Security Service) building, Nemtsev wrote that "the kid has more responsibility, more courage than the crowd of today's men".
In March 2020, he was charged with justifying terrorism, and in October of the same year was sentenced to a fine of 350,000 roubles.
