Case summary

Former employee of the Anti-Corruption Foundation. Until 2017, he lived in Khabarovsk, worked as a correspondent in regional media and was an employee of Navalny's local Headquarter. In 2017, he moved to Moscow.

In July 2020, he was beaten by three unidentified men while covering protests in Khabarovsk. In March 2021, he was attacked by an unidentified person in Yaroslavl together with a cameraman (doused with brilliant green).

He was the host of the YouTube channels "Navalny's Headquarters" and "Navalny LIVE". Left Russia. In August 2022, it became known that a case was brought against Nizovtsev for disseminating of knowingly false information about the Russian Armed Forces. On 14 October he was included in the register of individuals - "foreign agents". In April 2025 Nizovtsev was put on a wanted list, it became known that he was also accused of evading the duties of a "foreign agent". In an official report of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Nizovtsev was called a traitor to the Motherland.

On 4 February 2026, the court sentenced him in absentia to a fine of 200,000 rubles in the case of evasion of his duties as a "foreign agent".
