Case summary
A resident of Vologda, former candidate for the City Duma. On 21 January 2025, he was detained in a case of justification of terrorism because he reposted a video from Michael Naki's YouTube channel about a raid in the Bryansk region by fighters of the Russian Volunteer Corps on his VKontakte page. The next day he was sent into custody. In May 2025, Novikov was sentenced to a fine of 400 thousand rubles and released in the courtroom.
