Case summary

Resident of Naberezhnye Chelny (city in west-central Russia). A case was initiated against him for incitement of hatred and dissemination of deliberately false information about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. In court Novokreschennykh declared that he was drunk when he wrote all the comments. He partially plead guilty on the first episode, but noted that he doesn't remember to "humiliate anybody", on the second charge about "fakes" about army he did not plead guilty. Novokreschennykh got 3 years and 1 month of suspended sentenсe. Later, the appeal court replaced the sentence with 6 months of corrective labour.
