Case summary
An employee of the Elista City Hall. Detained on 12 April 2022 at his workplace with the use of force, the next day the court ordered to take him into custody. A case was initiated for dissemination of deliberately false information about the Russian Armed Forces with the use of official position, by a group of persons and with the motive of hatred (paragraphs "a", "b", "d" of part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). Later, the charge concerning the use of official position (item "a") was dropped from Ochirov. On 18 October Ochirov was sentenced to three years in prison. On 23 December the court of appeal extended the sentence to five years.
