Case summary

On July 24, 2012, Odilov was charged with organising the activities of a religious association that had been banned due to extremist activities by a court's enforceable decision. On May 27, 2013, he received a one-year suspended sentence.

In late June 2014, it bekame known that Odilov had been removed from the list of organizations and individuals associated with extremist activity or terrorism.

On December 5, 2015, Odilov was detained in connection with a new criminal case related to the organization of activities of the nonexistent banned organization "Nurdzhular." He was placed in custody, which was later changed to personal recognisance in September 2016. On June 29, 2018, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Novosibirsk sentenced Odilov to two years in a general regime penal colony. On December 21, he was sentenced to eight years of administrative supervision.
