Editor-in-chief of "The Insider" news service. Previously a journalist and presenter at "Dozhd" and "Current Time" TV channels and "Ekho Moskvy" radio station. Since 2015, lives in the Czech Republic.
In July 2025, a criminal case was opened against him for participation in the activities of an "undesirable organisation" because of his work at "The Insider", which had previously received the relevant status in Russia. Prior to that, Olevsky was fined under administrative protocols on participation in the activities of an "undesirable organisation".
