According to the investigation, in November 2024, while serving a sentence in Zhytomyr penal colony, he signed a contract with the 48th separate assault battalion, part of the "Crimean Tatar volunteer battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan" (a terrorist organisation banned in Russia), where he was trained to carry out terrorist activities. After that, he took part in combat operations against civilians of the DPR and servicemen of the Russian Federation.

Full summary
Ukrainian serviceman. Captured in December 2024 in the occupied territory of Donetsk region of Ukraine. A case was opened against him for participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation and undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities. At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs claims that he committed crimes against civilians in the Kursk region. In June 2025, the case went to trial. On 18 August 2025, Perepelitsa was sentenced to 20 years in a strict-regime penal colony.
