Case summary

Resident of Nizhny Novgorod, electrician. On 5 October 2023, his home was raided, his wife's hands were pinned behind her back, and Perov himself was beaten with a stun gun. He was taken into custody on charges of confidential co-operation with a foreign state and public justification of terrorism. According to the investigation, he communicated with a representative of the Freedom of Russia Legion and disseminated information about the Legion. At the same time, an FSB officer, who participated in correspondence with Perov under the guise of a representative of the legion, appears in the case as a witness. On 24 October 2024, the Nizhny Novgorod resident was sentenced to 11 years' imprisonment in a general regime penal colony.
