Konstantin Pokhilchuk

Resident of St. Petersburg. After being searched and detained in early March 2022 as part of a case of false reporting of a terrorist attack (part of a campaign against anti-war activists), Pokhilchuk was given an ultimatum: either he would leave or a case would be brought against him for statements made on the Internet. Pokhilchuk preferred to leave, but at that time he did not have a foreign passport. As a result, at the end of March he was searched again, in another case under a similar article. He was held for two days in a temporary detention centre, after which Pokhilchuk left the country. Pokhilchuk said in an interview that he was beaten during the search and asked about his posts about the Russian army. After the arrest, according to the activist, he was given an ultimatum: either he would leave or a case would be opened against him in connection with his statements on the Internet.
