Case summary
Resident of Moscow. On 11 August 2023, he was sentenced to two years' suspended sentence on a charge of hooliganism for clashing with young people of allegedly right-wing views. We have insufficient grounds to consider this prosecution political. On 5 June 2024, he was detained on the case of setting up the extremist community Antifa United. He was given a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions. On 2 February 2026, Popov was sentenced to three years in a general regime colony.
