Case summary
A resident of Bryansk region, an engineer at Rostelecom service centre. He was detained on 23 January 2023 and arrested the next day for 10 days under the administrative article on petty hooliganism (Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences). On the same day in the Mash Telegram channel reported the detention of a man who tried to commit arson of a relay cabinet. On 26 January, the same Telegram channel reported the search of the suspect's house, and on 27 January, Prokhorenko was placed in custody on charges of sabotage in connection with the arson of the relay cabinet on the instructions of the Security Service of Ukraine. Later, he was also accused of treason: according to the investigation, he sent information about the location and activities of the military in the Bryansk region to representatives of Freedom of Russia Legion. On 30 January 2024, Prokhorenko was sentenced to 13 years in a strict regime colony.
