On 13 April 2021, Putivskaya's home was searched. She was detained after interrogation in relation to a case on the activities of an extremist organisation. On 15 April, the court decided to place her in custody. In May, she was put under house arrest. On 22 July she was released on her own recognisance. On 20 November 2023, sentenced to two and a half years suspended sentence.
