Case summary

Resident of Syktyvkar, single mother. In February 2021, a criminal case was opened against her for public justification of terrorism and calls to extremism because of her aggressive comments on the adoption of the law on disrespect for authority, on responsibility for fake news, and on exemption from criminal liability for fraud. Because of the blocked bank account, Rodvikova could not receive child support or get a new job. On 29 June 2021, she was searched but nothing was seized. On 22 October, Rodvikova was sentenced to a fine of 350,000 rubles. On 17 January 2022, the appeal court reduced the amount by 20 thousand and exempted Rodvikova from paying court costs.
