Case summary
Worked as an oil and gas production operator at Gazprom. Head of "Kaster OrgsintezGroup" LLC, a large Russian company operating in the polymer market.
In April 2022, Rossiev was detained in a case of public justification of terrorism because of two aggressive comments in connection with a news story about a pensioner who sued for 60 thousand roubles for unlawful criminal prosecution. The comments were related to the case of Mikhail Zhlobitsky, who carried out a self-detonation in the building of the regional department of the Arkhangelsk FSB in 2018. Rossiev was taken into custody and placed in a special cell as a particularly dangerous criminal. After examining the contents of his phone, a case of incitement to hatred against law enforcement officers of the Russian Federation and Belarus was also brought against him. Rossiev pleaded guilty. On 23 August 2022, he was sentenced to a fine of 300 thousand rubles. The prosecution asked to send him to a colony for eight years.
In November 2022, Rossiev was detained in Krasnodar and taken to Kstovo. It became known that a case was brought against him of "fakes" about the army and calls to extremism. The court appointed him a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions. On 7 November 2024, Rossiev was sentenced to seven years conditioned prison sentence.
