Case summary
A resident of Glazov (Udmurtia). A case of public justification of terrorism was brought against him, allegedly because of a post in support of the Russian Volunteer Corps. The telegram channel "Udmurtia against corruption" claims that Samsonov was initially accused of high treason and participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation, but later these charges were dropped. In addition, according to the channel, the post, which presumably became the reason for the case, was published a year before the Russian Volunteer Corps was recognised as a terrorist organisation. On 5 December 2024, Samsonov was sentenced to six years in a general regime penal colony.
