Case summary

Serediuk is the commander of the Ukrainian volunteer battalion Bratstvo, which is part of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry. A hate speech case was brought against him and the battalion's founder Dmitro Korchinskii; Serediuk was also accused of spreading deliberately false information about the Russian Armed Forces. In February 2025, the case went to court. On 15 August 2025, Serediuk was sentenced in absentia to ten years in prison.
