Case summary
On July 16 in St. Petersburg, the police detained Sergeyeva and her friend because of the inscription "Peace to Ukraine" in front of the 'Elektrosila' metro station. The girls were held at Detention Center No. 29 for 15 hours and drew up protocols for discrediting the army and petty hooliganism. However, on July 25, Sergeyeva's lawyer informed her that a criminal case of vandalism had been opened against her and there was a possibility that the charges could be reclassified under a more serious part of the article. Sergeyeva left Russia. Law enforcement officers repeatedly messaged her on social media, calling her back to Russia, promising that she would only receive a fine. Then they started visiting her relatives and her lawyer.
