Case summary

Resident of Izhevsk. A case of vandalism was brought against him because of the inscription "insulting Putin" on the Central Square of the city, as well as swastikas on a poster with photos of citizens who contributed to the development of Udmurtia. The case was initially brought under the first part of the article, then the charge was reclassified to the more serious second article, vandalism motivated by hatred. The man was sentenced to six months of restricted freedom.
