Presumably the reason for the case was a video message posted by Shatkovskii on 26 February 2022, containing the following text: "...while our young people wasted precious time on foolish peaceful demonstrations in St. Petersburg, in Moscow - they wasted this time instead of making shivs and taking Molotov cocktails and pouring them down the necks of cops, those scum, those Judas, so these people were afraid to do such a thing, they were sent to Ukraine and now they are dying there, that's the point, but if instead they had killed Putin and all that entire Jewish gang, that would have been the liberation of Russia, all at once, thank God. You know now what to do, do not be afraid of these scum, death comes only once anyway, pray to God, with a prayer on your lips and in your heart, kill the Jews - they are enemies of God and the Fatherland, thank God".

Full summary
А monk of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, lived in Belgorod Oblast. After the full-scale invasion, he published aggressive social media posts, including posts in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In October 2022, he was detained and taken into custody. The reason was reportedly aggressive statements calling for violence against representatives of the authorities and law enforcement agencies. In particular, he stated that those dissatisfied with the authorities should not attend peaceful rallies, but "make shivs and take Molotov cocktails" to kill "Putin and all that entire Jewish gang". On 12 July 2023, Hilarion was sentenced to five years in a general regime colony.
