According to the prosecution, on 26 July 2024 the defendant posted a comment on Telegram referring to the “Freedom of Russia Legion” and the “Russian Volunteer Corps,” both designated as terrorist organisations. The text of the comment was not read out in court, but the prosecutor claimed that in it Shlenkin “with direct intent, publicly called for terrorist activity”. Shlenkin stated that in 2024 he changed his position on the “special military operation” after the death of his friends in Ukraine, which led him to consult alternative sources of information.

Full summary
Resident of St Petersburg. In April 2024, he was detained in a case of incitement to terrorism because of a comment mentioning the RDK and the Freedom of Russia Legion, which he posted on Telegram on 26 July 2024. The exact content of the comment is unknown.
